Vocations Fair

Vocations Fair to explore ministries

in the United Reformed Church

“One body, many members” –

Exploring your place in the body of Christ

Have you found a place within the body of Christ appropriate to your own gifts and talents and sense of vocation? Do you even find the concept of “vocation” or “calling” helpful? (Do you need to have heard a “voice from heaven” to know how you should be serving God?) Do you need to know more about specific forms of ministry and to hear the stories of people already serving in these ministries to see whether theirs resonate with your own? If any of these questions strike chords, this event is for you! It is not specific to any particular ministry and explores both lay and ordained ministries, paid and unpaid ones.

We explore today’s themes through a variety of workshops – these give overviews of matters you may be wrestling with and the opportunity to discuss them with fellow explorers and people already experienced in those ministries.

Saturday 27 October, 9.45 a.m. for 10.15 – 4.00 p.m.

Woking United Reformed Church, White Rose Lane, Woking, Surrey GU22 7HA.

The church is a short walk from Woking station, with frequent and fast services to London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, etc.
