The Trust - structure and objectives

The Trust.

The structure

The full title is the United Reformed Church (East Midlands Province) Incorporated. It has a charity number and a company number.

This is a brief summary. See the latest Report and Accounts for much more comprehensive information about the Trust, and current activities on this website.

The Trust and Synod accounts have been combined into one for nearly ten years now for administrative reasons.

The Charity Commission regard the Trust trustees as custodian trustees, as ultimately responsible for safeguarding all church property and finance within the Synod. However the trustees are not managing trustees. The managing trustees are within the Synod and churches.

The Memorandum and Articles of Association provide the Trust with wide powers, within the objectives of the United Reformed Church.

The objectives

The aims of the Trust are set out in the Report of the Directors in the annual accounts.
