Full-time, seven-year termed appointment.
Salary: Minister’s stipend
General Assembly wishes to appoint a United Reformed Church minister to serve as East Midlands Synod Moderator from Easter 2020, or shortly afterwards.
The synod requires an inspirational leader to take it forward as it seeks to engage in God’s mission through its new structures and patterns of ministry.
You will possess the gifts needed to support and encourage ministers as they work through the challenges ahead. Through your own experience of change you will be supportive in helping churches to discover new ways of working together as well as demonstrating a commitment to mission and willingness to encourage new initiatives.
You will be working within a complex ecumenical scene, supporting local churches in their ecumenical partnerships.
You will be a discerning listener, an effective communicator and work well as part of a team, whilst exercising a ministry grounded in a well-resourced spiritual and prayer life and in theological reflection.
