These modules are 'Contrib Modules' contributed by the Drupal community but not (yet) included in the Drupal Core. They are all free, and downloaded from Drupal.org, where full releases are monitored for security.
In this 'book' I have arranged them into:-
- Admin modules - which aid in the site administration
- Field modules - which add new fields or help in their layout in a node
( a field holds a specific piece of information in a Drupal node - e.g. Title, location, body text ) - Map modules - allow the generation of maps from locations.
- Block modules - provide additional blocks, or enhance blocks generally
( Blocks are individual pieces of your site’s web page layout which are generally outside the main content of the page. They are placed in regions of the theme, and can be created, removed, and rearranged in the Block layout (admin/structure/block) administration page. ) - Feature modules - add extra functionality to the site.
(e.g. allow us to upload a .csv file into site content)
