Bible Society believes that the Bible is God’s gift for God’s world. We share it because we believe it changes lives for good. We want Christians to be confident in the Bible’s truthfulness and reliability, and we want to change how people talk about it in wider society and invite them to see it as a source of wisdom and joy.

The aim of Open the Book is to equip people to share Bible stories with children in an accessible and enjoyable way for those of all faiths and none. We’re looking for a Training and Development Officer to inspire, support and develop existing Open the Book teams of volunteers from local churches as well as grow new teams in this region.

You will also have a personal passion for the Bible to be heard. Training will be delivered both in-person and online and the successful candidate will be comfortable working in a hybrid way, happy to travel throughout the region and able to complete necessary admin for the role.

If this sounds like you and you have the legal right to work and remain in the UK, we’d love to hear from you.
